ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR CLASS X AND XII – 2026–27

February 23, 2026

An orientation programme for the new batch of Class X and XII was conducted on Monday, February 23rd, 2026, to guide them as they stepped into a crucial academic year. The entire programme was themed FOCUS: Focusing on Choices Underlying Success. It aimed to reinforce the importance of adhering to school norms, understanding the expectations of various stakeholders, and taking ownership of their academic journey to make the most of the year ahead. Ms. Emilynne Helen Pais served as the main resource person for the programme, while the teachers of Classes X and XII, along with parent representatives, presented and covered various segments of the orientation.

During the brief formal segment of the programme, Principal Rev. Fr. Rohan D’ Almeida SJ addressed the students, encouraging them to remain focused, disciplined, and determined as they approached the year ahead.

Ms. Emilynne shared practical tips on time management and effective study techniques. She emphasized that success is built on the conscious choices we make daily, especially in managing and prioritizing time. By setting SMARTER (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-bound, Enthusiastic, and Rewarding) goals, students can stay focused, disciplined, and purposeful in their efforts.

The students were also addressed by Hritik Sharma, Founder of GK Institutions and Eduholik. He encouraged students to give their best in all they do and to balance academics with co-curricular activities for overall personality development.

The programme concluded with students collaboratively framing classroom rules and noting down their expectations of themselves, setting a positive tone for the academic year.
