Vibranza – Honouring Our Heritage, Inspiring Our Future

St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrated “Vibranza – Honouring Our Heritage, Inspiring Our Future,” an Ethnic Day celebration, on 20 August 2026 in the school auditorium. The vibrant cultural extravaganza brought together the rich colours of Indian traditions, creativity and youthful talent, providing students of Classes XI and XII with a platform to celebrate and showcase their cultural heritage.

The occasion was graced by Ms Wencita Dias, Actor, Model and Entrepreneur, as the Chief Guest. In her inspiring message, she encouraged students encouraged students to celebrate India’s diversity, believe in themselves, pursue their passions, and actively develop skills. She emphasised initiative, faith, patience and discipline, reminding students that failures are stepping stones towards success and do not determine their future. The Principal, Fr. Rohan D’Almeida SJ, in his address, emphasised balancing profession with passion and creativity while remaining rooted in values and heritage. He highlighted respect for cultures, character formation, guidance and sacrifice, congratulating students and encouraging them to grow continuously and become inspiring role models. Vice Principal Ms Laurel D’Souza and Academic Coordinators Ms Deepa Karkada and Ms Deepthi Karkada were also present. PTEC members Mr Abhijeet Gupta and Ms Ashwini Dsouza were the judges for the competitions.

The programme was compered by Mr Samuel Peters. The formal ceremony began with a graceful welcome dance, followed by the welcome address by Head Girl Ms Rhea Rego and the Vote of Thanks by Ms Lavanya Shetty. The Chief Guest was felicitated for her valuable contribution to the performing arts.

The celebrations continued with competitions such as Bharath Uthsav – Variety Show, Heritage Hues – Drawing/Sketching/Painting, Ethnoflix – Reel Making, and Flavours of India – Food Display. Each competition provided students with an opportunity to explore their creativity while celebrating the richness of India’s cultural heritage. The enthusiastic participation reflected their teamwork, imagination, and appreciation for the diverse traditions of the country. Students also showcased India’s cultural diversity through traditional attire, adding vibrancy and colour to the celebrations. The winners were awarded prizes for their outstanding performances and creative efforts. The programme was meticulously coordinated by Ms Shamitha Shetty and Ms Laveena Albuquerque.

Vibranza was a vibrant celebration that beautifully blended heritage, creativity, diversity, and unity, leaving behind lasting memories of culture, talent, and togetherness.
