St Aloysius Gonzaga School marked the grand finale of The English Literary Week for Classes VI–XII on 9 August 2025. Principal Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ and Vice-Principal Ms Laurel Dsouza graced the occasion. In his address, Fr Rohan called English “the language of gentlemen”, urged appreciation of all languages, encouraged students to explore English Literature, and inspired them to teach those unfamiliar with it. Highlights included a spirited skit on Shakespeare’s Hamlet and a lively ‘Jingle’. Preceding the finale were week-long activities such as Comic Strip, Book Jacket Design, Knitting a Tale, and Flash Fiction. The English Department’s creative coordination made The Literary Fiesta a memorable celebration of language and learning.
