An orientation session on Team Building and Time Management was held for Classes XI and XII of St Aloysius Gonzaga School on 4th July 2025. The purpose was to help students develop skills useful for academics and future careers.
The Principal, Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ, welcomed the resource person, Mrs. Shavina Tholar, along with staff and students. In his message, he underlined how proper use of time reduces stress and improves performance.
Mrs. Tholar is a soft skills trainer with wide experience, serving as faculty at ICAI, Mangalore, and working with ISTD and the World Konkani Centre. She began the session by explaining the need for time management and teamwork in daily life. She gave students practical tips on setting goals, organizing tasks, and working together effectively. Through group activities and discussions, students practiced leadership, cooperation, and decision-making. The exercises helped them understand how sharing responsibilities strengthens a team and how planning saves time. The interactive approach kept everyone engaged and encouraged learning by doing.
Students responded with enthusiasm and expressed that the session was useful and inspiring. Teachers too appreciated its relevance. Coordinated by Ms. Deepa Karkada, the programme ran smoothly and gave students clear lessons they can apply in both school and personal life.
