Report on Cyber Security – Staying safe in a digital World

St. Aloysius Gonzaga School organized a session on "Cyber Security –Safe in a Digital World" for students of Classes VIII to X. The session, held on October 18, 2025, aimed to educate students on the importance of digital safety.

Principal Fr. Rohan D. Almeida SJ, in his welcome address, highlighted how technology has become an integral part of daily life, especially for Gen Z. The resource person, Mr. Chirag C. Suvarna, a Senior Cyber Security Analyst from Cyber Sapiens, Mangaluru, delivered an engaging and informative session covering the key aspects of cyber security, including: the advantage and disadvantage of technology, different forms of cybercrime and its awareness, hackers and cyberattacks, phishing attacks and types, social media crimes, banking and gaming frauds and social engineering. He provided a comprehensive overview of cyber security awareness, safety precautions, and the IT Act 2000, and guided students on how to report cybercrime effectively.

The program was compered by Mr. Dheeraj, while Ms. Sandhya Manoj proposed the vote of thanks. The session empowered students to navigate the digital world safely and make informed choices.
