The Faculty Enrichment Programme was organized in association with Infosys Limited on 22 May 2026 at the AIMIT Campus from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The programme aimed to enhance faculty competencies in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), technology-enabled teaching, and professional development.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, followed by a welcome address and the introduction of the resource persons by Ms. Sushmitha K. S. The Principal, Fr. Rohan Almeida SJ, extended a cordial welcome to the newly recruited faculty members and staff. In his address, he emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and encouraged educators to embrace every experience as a learning opportunity. He reminded the gathering that “Everyone is a teacher, everything is a lesson, and every experience is a new learning opportunity,” inspiring the participants to maintain an open mind and continuously strive for personal and professional growth.
Fr. Dr. Kiran SJ, Director of AIMIT, addressed the participants and highlighted the significance of the training programme in the present educational landscape. He stressed the growing need for integrating technology into education and underscored its role in creating engaging, effective, and joyful learning experiences for students.
The sessions were facilitated by Mrs. Aishwarya Rajeev, Senior Analyst at Infosys Limited, who served as the principal resource person for the day.
Session 1: Infosys Springboard Orientation
Mrs. Aishwarya Rajeev introduced the Infosys Springboard platform and its various learning resources, including certification courses, experiential learning programmes, and AI-based courses.
Session 2: Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI
The session focused on Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI, covering their concepts, applications, evolution, and impact on everyday life. Participants also learned about the differences between traditional AI, Generative AI, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
Session 3: AI Tools for Teaching and Learning
The third session provided hands-on exposure to AI tools for teaching, emphasizing effective prompt writing and demonstrating the use of Microsoft Copilot for creating presentations, images, and educational content.
Session 4: Professional Skills Development
The final session was conducted online from Bengaluru by Mrs. Judy Snowfa Joseph Palda. She spoke on professional skills, personality development, effective people management, interpersonal relationships, and the importance of maintaining good health and well-being. The session provided practical tips for personal and professional growth, helping participants enhance their workplace effectiveness and overall development.
The sessions were interactive and engaging, with faculty members actively participating in discussions and activities. The programme provided valuable insights into emerging technologies and innovative teaching practices, making it a meaningful and enriching learning experience for all participants.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Divya, who expressed gratitude to the management, resource persons, and participants. The event was compered by Ms. Teena, who ensured the smooth conduct of the programme. As a token of appreciation and a takeaway from the programme, Fr.
