St. Aloysius Gonzaga School, Mangaluru, celebrated International Women’s Day on March 16, 2026, to honor the dedication of its women staff members. Organized by the male staff, the event began with a symbolic gifting of roses and bookmarks, followed by a prayer song led by Mr. Princeson Saldanha and a welcome address by Mr. Jeevan Salian. The celebration featured a cake-cutting ceremony by the school leadership, a nostalgic video presentation, and entertaining musical and dance performances by the male staff. Interactive games coordinated by Mr. Aditya Shetty, Mr. Vinod M.P, and Mr. Vinay Kumar further enlivened the atmosphere. During the formal segment, Ms. Carol Tina and Vice Principal Ms. Aparna Suresh shared messages of appreciation and empowerment, while Principal Fr. Rohan D’Almeida SJ delivered a keynote address. Using the acronym “WOMAN,” he highlighted their roles as educators and pillars of support, emphasizing that an educated woman enlightens all of society. The programme, smoothly coordinated by Mr. Dheeraj Lobo, concluded with the distribution of appreciation gifts, a vote of thanks by Mr. Santhosh Lobo, and a festive lunch, leaving the staff with a renewed sense of gratitude and unity.
