Dithan Fernandes of Class X B initiated his thoughts on education by stating, " I believe education has helped me discover my talents, build confidence and dream of a better future."
Students in Classes IX and X participated in a Connected Classroom on the Right to Education, organised by Educate Magis, a worldwide network of Jesuit Schools. The session held on 1st October 2026 brought together students and educators from Jesuit schools across India, the USA, Brazil and Chile, providing a meaningful platform for global dialogue and exchange.
Representing our school were Samvith Shetty of Class IX and Dithan Fernandes and Asher Mascarenhas of Class X, who actively participated and shared their perspectives during the session.
The students reflected on education as a fundamental human right and engaged in thoughtful discussions on equality, inclusion, dignity and access to quality education. They explored how the opportunities they receive through education can become responsibility and solidarity, and how their learning can create opportunities for others.
The interaction enabled our students to listen to diverse perspectives, share their own experiences and develop greater global awareness, empathy, intercultural understanding and social responsibility. The session was a powerful reminder that education is not merely about learning for oneself, but about using one’s knowledge, voice and opportunities to uplift others and work towards a more just and inclusive world.
