Ethnic Day-Vibranza- Uniting Colors, showcasing traditions

The much-awaited cultural extravaganza, Vibranza – Uniting Colors, showcasing traditions was celebrated on 29/10/2025, with great enthusiasm and elegance in the school auditorium. The event beautifully showcased India’s diverse traditions, creativity, and the spirit of unity among students.

The programme was compered by Ms. Tanuja H Domber, who carried the event forward with grace and poise. The formal function commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Ms. Shamitha Shetty, setting the tone for the day.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. Shailashree Mulki, a renowned actress and performer, who graced the event with her presence and inspiring message. In her address, she encouraged the students to “follow your dreams and never settle until you get what you want.”

This was followed by an inspiring Address by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Rohan D’Almeida SJ, who appreciated the efforts of the staff and students in organizing such a vibrant celebration that highlighted unity through tradition and culture.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Lavanya Shetty, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.

The dignitaries present on stage included the Principal, Chief Guest Ms Shailashree Mulki, Vice Principals Ms. Laurel D’Souza, Ms Aparna Suresh, Italian Professor Ms Bernadette Walshe and the Class XI and XII Coordinator, Ms. Deepa Karkada.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by a special song performance by the Class 11 and 12 students, setting a melodious tone for the event. This was followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, in appreciation of her contribution to the field of performing arts.

After the formal segment concluded, the much-anticipated fashion show of Class 11 and 12 students began. The show featured two rounds — in the first round, all participating students showcased their traditional attire, while in the second round, the best 20 contestants were shortlisted.

The results were as follows:

  • Second Runner-up (Girl): Ms. Nicole Lobo, Class 11
  • Second Runner-up (Boy): Mr. Neel Thimayya Nanda Kandrathanda, Class 12
  • First Runner-up (Girl): Ms. Shinead Rebecca Fernandes, Class 12
  • First Runner-up (Boy): Mr. Umang Sachin Patel, Class 12
  • Ethnic Queen: Ms. Ayesha Sana, Class 12
  • Ethnic King: Mr. Swithin Lobo, Class 12

Adding to the charm of the event, the school also welcomed special guests from Italy, part of the student exchange programme. The Italian students embraced Indian culture by donning traditional attire with the girls in sarees and the boys in kurta-pyjamas and walked the ramp with elegance and confidence.

Vibranza – Uniting Colors, showcasing traditions truly lived up to its name, celebrating diversity, creativity, and unity. The event concluded on a joyful note, leaving behind cherished memories of culture, color, and camaraderie.
