A Capacity Building Programme was held at St Aloysius Gonzaga School, Mangaluru, on 31st May 2025, to familiarize educators with the key recommendations of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023 and their implications for classroom practices.
The event began with a solemn prayer, followed by a warm welcome and introduction of the resource persons by Ms. Sandhya Manoj. Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ, Principal, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the framework’s alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its transformative role in education.
The training was facilitated by Ms. Sumadevi N (DPS MRPL, Mangaluru) and Ms. Anuradha Shivam (Vivekananda Central School, Puttur). Participants were introduced to core curriculum concepts and the four stages of schooling outlined in NCF-SE 2023. Hands-on activities included designing subject-wise lesson plans and aligning them with curriculum goals.
The sessions also highlighted the strategic integration of ICT in education and introduced the 4 R’s strategy—Review, Reduce, Recite, and Reflect; to enhance teaching effectiveness and foster deeper learning.
The programme was insightful, collaborative, and well-received. Ms. Acquina Rebello delivered the Vote of Thanks, appreciating the resource persons and participants for their active involvement. The event was seamlessly compered by Ms.Divya, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the day.
