
The faculty induction programme was conducted for all the newly appointed Staff members to get them know about the institution. The first session began with a prayer song followed by the highlights on legacy, vision and mission of the Institution which was conducted by Vice-Principal (Pre-KG to Class V) Ms Aparna Suresh. She highlighted the Jesuit heritage of academic excellence and social responsibility, emphasized the school’s mission to form men and women for others, and encouraged the faculty to align with the institution’s core values in all aspects of their work.
The second session was taken by Vice-Principal Ms Laurel D’souza on the work culture of the Institution. She highlighted a few of the good teaching practices, maintaining records and a few aspects of professional ethics.
The third Session was taken by Ms Deepa Karkada, coordinator of classes XI and XII. This session was on the CBSE assessment structure that highlighted the assessment scheme and a few aspects of Art-integrated projects for classes I to XII.
The fourth Session was conducted by Fr Balaraju SJ, Secretary & Treasurer of MJES, who gave an informative presentation on service rules and regulations of the management.
The fifth session was conducted by Principal Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ, who gave a lot of insights on the Jesuit Role in education and its pedagogy. He also highlighted on Class preparation, qualities of the teachers, presentation of the class, conduct of the teachers and the students along with few legal aspects related to POCSO Act.
Day 1 session was fruitful and informative to all the staff members.
